| About the Artist |
Tammy Updegrove Braunsberg has been drawing since she was a child. She started taking formal art lessons when she was thirteen years of age. "I always enjoyed drawing animals and children, but after I became a mom nine years ago, my art work has become more meaningful." Her professional art career started with selling commission work mostly in charcoal and pen and ink. Then, through her hand-chipped and carved slate decorative pieces, pins and ornaments, she entered the world of retail. Currently, she creates on a much larger scale - murals. "I enjoyed the balance between working on murals and illustrating books. The murals are big and exciting and the illustration work allows me to share my love of drawing with children."
